Aboris is a habitable planet seven parsecs from Yeseg, in the Viperius Galaxy.

Characteristics

Aboris is a terrestrial, habitable world, home to a thriving biosphere and a great diversity of life.

Size

Aboris has a radius 1.2 times that of Earth, at 7631km. Its mass is 1.63 Earth masses, and the density is 0.95 times as much. This means the gravity on the surface is 1.14G.

Composition

Aboris' crust is highly ferrous, 46.7% iron. Most of the rest is silicon and oxygen.

Rotation

Aboris' day is 25.49 hours, and its axial tilt is an unusually high 44.96°. This changes regularly due to the lack of a large, nearby moon, and means major environmental fluctuations occur often.

Surface

There is no ice on Aboris' surface. However, it is 60% water. The minimum temperature is 19°, the average 22°C, and the record high is 56°.

Atmosphere

Aboris' atmosphere is a dense breathable type, with 2.03 times Earth pressure. It is 65.1% nitrogen, 27.9% oxygen, 7.0% argon, and trace other gases.

Biosphere

Aboris has life on its surface. Most of the land is covered in creeping grasses or trees 100m high, networked in enormous forests. There are many large, winged animals, some of which eat aerial plankton and some of which eat the plankton-feeders.

On the surface are the remnants of a space-faring civilisation, dated to 10,000 years ago. A stone age civilisation of scorpion-like invertebrates exists.
