Szerker World-Killers are enormous, immensely powerful constructs built by the Szerkers. Some remain, unusable, in Emenata.

A Szerker World-Killer.

Design

A World-Killer is around 10,000km in diameter, and almost spherical in shape. The majority of its body houses generators, which all feed into a central core.

The armour of the World-Killer is 500km thick on all sides, and shielded heavily enough to withstand long gamma ray bursts or impacts with black holes.

The ship itself is covered with weapons. Every square kilometre bears a planar cannon and four scatterdrivers.

However, the ship's most powerful asset is the Dihedral Cannon mounted on its equator. It fires two planar blasts, polarised oppositely to each other, which expand in width as they travel out. Anything contacting this ray is neutralised and only energy is left- theoretically, if this was fired side on against a galaxy, the galaxy would be entirely reduced.

However, the blasts only travel at the speed of light.

History

The World-Killers were produced around four million years ago, just before The Merge. Parts of a Veiled Oneplanet-station were used in their design. It is known that the Szerkers used World-Killers to destroy more than five galaxies and kill several quadrillion sapients.

Legacy

Scholars have managed to work out that seven remaining World-Killers should be present in Obeidon. One was found, but it vanished into the Tenebrus.
