The Cho'ghar are a sapient race inhabiting Aristotle. Most of them live on the backs of Montotheres, with which they have a symbiotic relationship.
Appearance
Cho'ghar vaguely resemble large black mosquitos, with their insect-like probosis and their large, globular pink eyes. The average Cho'ghar is only one foot tall. They have a humanoid shape, and their arms are covered in outward facing quills. These can be used as offensive weapons.
Diet
Cho'ghar are liquivores, meaning that they hunt animals and turn their insides into liquid before eating. Their probosis contains saliva specially adapted to that purpose.
Habitat
Cho'ghar live on the backs on Montotheres, although a close relative, called the Tro'ghar, live in the forests of Aristotle.
Sapience
Cho'ghar are among the special few lifeforms known to have evolved sapience. The Cho'ghar have actually built small cities on top of the moving Montothere platforms.
Culture
The Cho'ghars culture is a sort of cross between medieval feudalism and tribal shamanism. The young males which show great bravery during the hunt are given a ceremony and title not unlike being knighted. The elders become shamans, which supposedly communicate with the montotheres themselves, to thank them for all they do for their tribe.
The Cho'ghar consider the pollenation of the montotheres to be an almost sacred task, and will send their greatest knights to perform this task once every one hundred years. It is exceedingly dangerous, as a host of dangerous animals share their living home.
Knights also perform activities such as gathering resources from the ground; arguably the most dangerous task of all.
Technology
Cho'ghar have a technology comparable to that of medieval Europe, with castles, drawbridges, etc. However, a device not entirely unlike a firearm is also in common useage.
Domestication and Farming
The Cho'ghar have domesticated several species, mainly Geckas.
