Geysberk
Geysberk are egg-eaters native to Dawn.
Physiology
Geysberk are "semi-hexapods": they have six legs, but they can walk on the back four if the need arises. They have a head with six compound eyes and teeth on all sides of the mouth. A frill of feathers can be erected from the back of the head.
The males are more brightly colored.
Diet
Geysberk are close to becoming specialist egg-eaters. Different species of Geysberk will eat eggs from different species of truncators, especially Crushtoags.
Behavior
Geysberk are carriers of Praefutus larvae (see the article for details). It is thought that the life cycle of the parasite not only exploits but reinforces the association between the predator and the truncators, and it may actually be responsible for the association.
