Caltas is a terrestrial planet in the Valka Galaxy in Emenata. It is considered a strategic position by the Katsoja and the Styhacians, and is therefore frequently fought over.

Habitat

Caltas.jpg

Caltas was once a lush and diverse planet, with many different biomes and thousands of unique species. However, due to the frequent wars fought over it, it is now a scarred, barren wasteland. Next to nothing lives on the surface, which is strewn with debris from many battles. The coastal seas are heavily polluted with dust and shrapnel.

Caltas is 50% water and 12% ice. The land exists mainly in two places; a thick strip just south of the north pole, and a large landmass situated on the equator and southwards. This landmass has a mountain at its centre, but other than that is relatively flat, and great land for building on.

There are also a few smaller islands.

History

Caltas was once a diverse world, and the native Caltans had many cities on the planet. However, hen the Katsoja and the Styhacians waged war on each other, it quickly became a strategic position, and frequent battles were fought for it. As a result of these battles, the land was heavily scarred, and most native life killed off. The seas were heavily polluted. Some Caltans survived by going deep underground, and others searched for other habitable planets in their spaceships.

It is still fought over to this day.

Strategic Position

Caltas is in a solar system not to far from Kasata, the Katsoja homeplanet. This is a valuable planet for the Katsoja to hold, as if the Styhacians use FTL to reach Kasata, reinforcements are never far away. Styhacians wish to hold the planet so that the Katsoja don't have these reinforcements.
